The hook effect starts happening anywhere from 8-12 weeks in pregnancy. Basically your HCG is so high it can start to make it look like your tests are going negative. That's why they say to stop testing. I refuse to test after 5 weeks.

when I took another test when I was further along it also came out a lighter line, because the tests only track so much HCG so by now you have so much that the test cant read it all it's all good
