What do u do when ur baby takes someone else toy? (U know that someone)?

I dont know how to teach them. I just let it be and just say “borrowww pls” just now my baby takes someone elses toy that the kid is playing. And they were quarrlling abt the toy. Im just not sure what to do. So i just take my baby somewhere else

One year olds don’t understand sharing. I try to redirect before he takes something. If the other kid doesn’t get upset, then I don’t do anything.

I take it and give it back and tell him "that's not yours baby, you have to ask or share" but hes 1 on June 4th so he cant talk yet.. just starting to teach him early

So, my son is usually trying to take my nephews toys, who is 4. I'm trying to teach both a lesson which is sharing and being kind; so, I tell my son to give the toy back but then try to prompt my nephew to share the toy or show him how to play with it. Of course, if it's not an age appropriate toy for my son (like small pieces) then I just say no.
