Tantrums?

Is anyone else experiencing these? My daughter will be one on June 16th and any time she doesn’t get her way or something happens she doesn’t like or sometimes just randomly for no apparent reason she will just throw a fit. I have no idea what is going on or what brought this on! She is definitely teething but it seems like these bouts happen for another reason? I’m honestly not sure nor sure what to do!!!

Total sassy pants right here too! I think she’s just found her independence and anything that makes her feel that I’m taking away that independence makes her very mad haha

Yes!! Mine will pretzel herself and throw herself forward and scream and cry. It’s mostly when she can’t get her way. Or if her sister is doing something. She doesn’t like, she’ll scream and whine then bite.

They are becoming independent on their level, this is totally ok 😊 my almost one year old is the same, hard to accept your always smile and curious girl to become this fussy, but it is a phase in their development. Try to keep patient 😘 ( I know it is hard)

Yes!!! Mine gets so mad at me. Throws a fit if I pick her up when she doesn’t want to. She is teething as well, but I think it’s more than just that

Same here. I gave my girl a bath tonight and she got mad and threw a fit because I washed her hair 😒. Definitely an independence thing and she’s also teething pretty bad right now.

Omg!! Yes! My Charlie is learning to throw tantrums. I just stand my ground and let him work through it. But at the same time I have to hold back the laughter cause he makes the funniest faces when he gets mad at me 😂😂

Yep. Tantrums daily. And idk what to do 😬😓 he even thrashes his back backwards when I pick him up sometimes and I'm like whyyyy?!?! Luckily I haven't dropped him 😫 hes so heavy!! (22 lbs but I swear he feels like 44 lbs when he does that, smh)

It’s so hard at this age because they cant tell us how they feel, so they express it any way they can. I’d say it’s normal. If I take something away that she’s not supposed to have, take her out of the bath when she’s not “ready” to come out yet (even though she’s been in there 30+ min lol) etc she’ll sometimes throw herself on the floor and cry 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes 100% tantrums here!! His started at 11 months...he thrashes his head backwards, I hate it!! :-( I’ve read a lot about tantrums and the consensus I came to is sit with him, calm him down, then move forward. They aren’t old enough to be throwing tantrums to get attention...it is more just from emotion and just reacting, and from newfound independence. Mine usually does it if I take something away from him.
