Is stretch marks normal at 17 weeks

I went to my appointment and my doctor said that it was to early to get stretch marks being only 17 weeks. They actually started at like 12 weeks and he made me feel super self conscious. I had no marks previously on my belly so now I'm just sad. Does it look normal?
