Period help

So I’ve had my period for over two years now and they are extremely heavy... I’d bleed for an 8 day period and have around 21 days in between each one (due to my Yasmin pill), before I started taking my pill the time inbetween each period would last for about 17/18 days, although, even when I’m taking my pill, my periods are still very heavy. I was wondering if there is anything that doctors offer that is a bit stronger? I dread the time my periods come and I feel as though nothing is working for me right now.
