But I’m talking like won’t walk a meter away from me to pick up a cookie. He will come over, grab my hand and pull me to the cookie. He will stand beside me crying and screaming until I go with him...even though there’s nowhere to go! The cookie could be right in front of us on the coffee table and he won’t take two steps by himself to get it. He’s always been like this but the older he gets the harder it’s becoming. Today at the park he wanted to pick dandelions but wouldn’t walk to the grass without me. I’m all about gentle and positive parenting, we’re still nursing and I’m a SAHM so I try to respond to his every need or want because that’s just what hubby and I believe in. But it’s getting out of hand! How can I help him be more confident?
