Wanting sex and being horny is a natural human instinct so it’s pretty hard to avoid. But I would say to distract yourself and keep busy with lots of other things, such as going for walks and cooking dinner together, also reading in bed at bedtime rather than becoming intimate. If you both truly want to wait then it will not be difficult

Here's the tips I was given: 
•don't kiss until you're getting married and hear "you may now kiss the bride"  - kissing is viewed as foreplay and making out will lead to other things if you don't have enough willpower 
•don't be alone together- if you go on a date take separate vehicles. If you go over to his place to watch a movie make sure someone is there to chaperone 
•give yourself little reminders as to why you're waiting. This could be a purity ring or a reminder set on your phone. I had an app from Fresh Life Church that would send me daily reminders and scripture about abstinence. I had a purity ring too (I still have it around here somewhere)
• Pray with your partner before your date- it kills the mood and you won't be as tempted 
•have accountability partners you can actually be honest with. "Yeah we gave each other oral, can you pray for me as I repent?"

My husband and I dated for 4 years and we didn’t do anything sexual. I was a virgin when I met him. 
We didn’t move in together while we dated, and we didn’t spend the night at each other’s homes. 
When we got married, I gave him my virginity and it was amazing. We moved in together after marriage. 
It was easy for us to wait because he respected my decision to wait and he respected me. He still does and waiting was the best choice for us ❤️❤️❤️
