Af is two days late

Tested this morning and BFN, I had brown discharge yesterday on my pad only little bit, and have been having cramps and back ache for 2 days. Has any one not get a positive until a while after a missed period?? Please share your experiences I’m so confused. I’ve never had af cramps before unless I’m bleeeding
