If you were a bar tender and a pregnant woman came in to drink would you server her? Which option would you do?

Option #1. Yes I would serve her it’s none of my business what she does 
Option #2. Yes I would serve her but I would give her a warning about the dangers of drinking while pregnant. 
Option #3. I would serve her one drink but if she came back for seconds I would refuse to serve her. 
Option #4. No I would not serve her at all

I used to serve. I worked at a winery restaurant. I always served pregnant women wine. 
Why? 
Because it’s NOT my body or my baby. Did I silently judge those ladies? HELL YEAH! 
But I can’t dictate what others do with their bodies and children. I can only watch out for mine and my own.

I used to be a bartender and this question came up. We weren’t allowed to refuse service because the law doesn’t prohibit pregnant women from drinking. Plus it’s her choice, not the bartender’s, what she wants to do with her body and her baby. Personally, I’ve never touched a drink while pregnant, but I don’t believe in regulating someone’s else’s decisions.

a glass of wine ? sure . shots ? hell no. idc if I got fired I'm not going to be part of someone possibly harming their unborn baby. I wouldn't say no or be rude to her though I would ask another worker to help her because I "need to use the bathroom"

I never drank while pregnant but I did order drinks for my husband while out and I would have pissed if someone wouldn’t have served me. The drink might not be for her and u never know if a woman is pregnant or not. I still have a big pooch and when I eat a big meal I can definitely look pregnant. But I am not. I even had a woman try to shame me for smoking a couple months ago because she thought I was pregnant. It’s rude to assume and not anyone’s business what other people do.

How would you know she is pregnant? There are some women that are just overweight, and some have medical conditions that make them look pregnant. 
It’s her body, her choice, and what she does isn’t the server’s concern.

When I was a server, we had to serve pregnant women or they could sue us individually or company wide. I would obviously judge very pregnant women for putting me in that position. Go drink at home if that’s what poor choice you choose to make, but don’t make others contribute. I’ve had friends who have drank while pregnant and I tell them to cut the shit or I’ll leave. They get pissed, but come onnnn.
