Anyone else?

I have a 5 week old who has been having bad gas pains/colic. He also eats 3oz every 1 1/2 to 2 hours, which is a lot but his doctor says as long as he isn’t spitting up he isn’t over eating. The other thing is today he has hardly napped AT ALL. He’s been up since 2pm, its now 6:50pm and I can tell he’s so tired. He will fall asleep for like 10 mins and then is back up grunting and looking uncomfortable. Has anyone else been through this? I’m pretty sure babies his age are supposed to sleep A LOT more. Any advice,

I found that my breastmilk gives my baby gas. She gets breastmilk in the am until 2pm and organic Holle formula in the evening and nighttime. Her tummy is MUCH happier.

Is he still pooping regularly? Get some Windi's from Wal-Mart or Amazon. My almost 4 week old was super backed up and gassy...was up amost 12hrs straight last week and we used one and she immediately fell asleep after. She's been good with regular burping ans the occasional tummy massage since then. It's awkward and messy so be prepared but it was oddly satisfying especially knowing it made her feel better. They aren't for every day use cause babe needs to learn how to use those muscles effectively on their own but it's nice to have when your at your wits end.

My daughter was gassy for I believe 6-7 weeks. We used to bicycle her legs to get the gas out. It also stopped her from sleeping. I remember the first day my husband went back to work I was up from 11:30pm to 6:30pm (yes pm to pm) and she only slept for a total of 2 hrs. So we just used to make it a game for her to bicycle her legs multiple times a day. It helped! Also warm baths helped and it was calming for her
