Question

What do you moms do in a day with your little one? What’s your typical day? Any activities suggestions for 13 months old.

Answer

The best thing I did to find ideas was follow #babyactivities on Instagram. My son is 11mo so I’m about to look up #toddleractivities too. Today I taped my Mother’s Day cards with painters tape to his crib rails for him to pull down, we played with his baby doll pretending to feed and rock it, played with Lego Duplos, put stuffed animals in gift bags for him to pull out, let him transfer Easter eggs from an egg carton to a plastic tub, and splashed in the puddles from the rain outside. Everything except the Legos and rain puddles is an idea from Instagram or the BabySparks app.

My 13 mo old loves to go on walks. He prefers to push the stroller rather than sit in it. Haha. We play with toys and sometimes we just cuddle and watch some cartoons. I'm really looking forward to taking him to the pool this summer. He also loves shopping with me but obviously that's not an every day type thing.  His favorite passtime is making a mess while I attempt to clean

Once we transitioned to one nap, I feel like we had a pretty good schedule each week. Every morning we get out of the house for some activity - Moms morning out, library story time, My Gym classes, swimming, etc. After nap, we usually go to the neighborhood park for an hour to break up the afternoon. I found that the days go by much faster and are more enjoyable when we get out of the house, even if it’s just to go to the grocery store. We try to spend as little time at home as possible - although with a 7 week old now, I feel like we never get out anymore!

Answer

My son is a lot older but when he was that little we did a lot of outdoor activities weather permitting, inside we would read sing dance anything educational for that age range. I did get him into a Gymboree class as well.
