My baby is 9 days old and at his last doctor's appointment the pediatrician wanted me to supplement with 2 oz of formula after I breastfeed since he was not gaining any weight. He was 6 pounds at Birth and down to five pounds is 7 oz. I started supplementing like the doctor told me and it has helped him to sleep a little longer I'm not sure about his weight gain yet we have an appointment on Friday to find out how much weight he has gained. I guess my question is , is this going to affect how much breastmilk I am producing? The pediatrician told me not to pump yet I'm going to talk to her about it again on Friday because I am scared that this will deplete my Supply and I really want to be able to breastfeed my son. I am working on little to no sleep and I'm very emotional about this right now I am probably overthinking it but I just wanted some advice from some other moms who have gone through this thank you in advance
