Induction?

Any advice on being induced and what I should prep myself for? I’m getting induced next week 😬

I've been induced 3 times and I've puked all 3. Also after your done if they use pitocin be prepared that you might be swollen from it.  I was.  My feet were bigger than Fred Flintstones.

I threw up after as well. idk if it was from the epidural or the pitocin or the blood loss I ended up having(unrelated to the induction) i had very minimal swelling. i also got the epidural about 4 or 5 hours in when the upped the pitocin and didn't feel a thing until i felt like i had to poop and the baby was coming.

I did not feel nauseous after pitocin. Must have a different affect on everyone. But the contractions were too much for me before they were even able to increase the dose too much. It felt like my pelvis was shattering. No way I was going to deal with that pain for very long. I got an epidural very early.

I’ve heard that it’s best to get an epidural (if you’re planning one) before you have the pitocin because the pitocin contractions are a lot stronger. I was supposed to be induced with my son but wound up going into labor naturally. I got an epidural to manage pain and they gave me pitocin at some point because my contractions weren’t happening regularly anymore. I didn’t notice the pain difference after pitocin because of the epidural, but my body definitely reacted. It shook with every contraction. Just be prepared for a way to manage your pain!
