39 week elective induction

On June 18th I am going to be induced . I will be 39 weeks and 3 days. I know some people may not like that decision but 🤷‍♀️. It’s the only way the dad will be able to be home for the labor and birth as he is in the military. So does anyone have any advice for me? I’m a FTM and also only 17. And my mom is pretty upset about this decision so any advice would be very much appreciated.
