Nipple piercings?

I’ve been thinking about getting my nipples pierced for a long time now but I’ve heard that it’s really painful and can take a long time to heal. Also does it hurt to wear a bra while they’re healing? Is it worth it?

The thing that’s stopping me is the worry that they won’t heal. Last year I had my daith pierced and a year later it still hadn’t healed properly. I have had other piercings that healed well but because my most recent one it put me off. Does it really increase sensitivity?

How painful it is to get a piercing depends on your pain tolerance. For me it happened so fast that I only felt a moderate pain for a split second. As long as you’re working with a good professional piercer there should be minor discomfort during the healing process. If you feel a lot of discomfort or have any trouble with your piercing you can always go back and the solution may be different size or quality jewelry (my body heals best with titanium but after healing the normal surgical steel used for most jewelry is fine). Wearing a bra shouldn’t be too bad as long as it’s well fitted, you might find a sports bra more comfortable. Healing can take 6+ weeks, all body piercings have a long healing time. 
I have had many different piercings, even had my clitoral hood done at one time - the most painful piercing experience for me was getting the cartilage at the top of my ear pierced. That one made me cry a bit 😅 but again it was only a moment and over with very quickly. 
I say go talk to some professionals, they can tell you everything you need to know and any good piercer is fine with a consultation even if you aren’t sure you will follow through 🙂
