Specific pads for postpartum?

I just read somewhere that you should be using specific maternity pads for postpartum care down there. Is that true? No one told me.. I’ve been using Always brand . Is that okay?

Any brand is fine. Most people just like the Always brand pads

No, nothing special. No fragrances as usual. I’m using washable pads, called Hi Oh, I got them on amazon. Definitely a great purchase, going on 22 days now 😩

There just are specific ones the hospital provides, but you can use anything fragrance free. Once I ran through the stash the hospital gave me, I used always flex foam.

You don’t need special ones. I used always brand ones that were the extra heavy overnight ultra thin ones and they were great!

I used adult diapers for the first week or so 🤷‍♀️ and then night time pads passed that. I think what they want is a thick pad.

I’m using the same cloth pads I use for my periods. Was using the Always underwear when it was heavy. I had maternity pads at the hospital and they didn’t seem very special.

I honestly just used depends until the bleeding lessened and didn’t need an ice pack anymore. Then I just switch to normal pads and then pantry liners

I used always and never had an issue, use whatever your comfortable using. I was never told to only use a specific kind.
