When to tell your boss?

I work in a hospital and we just told family and SO told all the guys he works with so now I am starting to feel pressured and that I should go talk to the boss I am ten weeks. I have been having anxiety about sharing the news.

I told my direct manager at 6 weeks so he knew not to send someone to check on my if I dashed off to the bathroom. The rest of my leadership (and my coworkers) I told around 12 weeks.

Yeah we live in a small town so don’t want them to hear from everyone else. We weren’t going to tell everyone just yet. But my SO can not keep a secret so once we told family he kind of just kept going. So I just feel more rushed now to tell  work.

My director just had a baby in March so I told her at 8 weeks. Then i told our division head and HR after my 12 weeks ultrasound

When you feel ready. With my first I told them at 6wks bc I was so sick, I didn’t have a choice. This one I’m 10wks 4days and haven’t told them. I had an interview for a promotional position and wanted to wait until the outcome of that. ( I know it’s illegal to discriminate due to pregnancy). I had an ultrasound only at 7wks and my first appt is tomorrow, so after I learn the outcome of my interview, and if my appt goes okay, I will tell them. We haven’t told family yet though
