register for diapers?

I am getting all kinds of mixed advice from people on this. Moms who have had one before, did you register for diapers? Some people are telling me to do it because you can never have too many, and some people are telling me not to because the baby might end up being allergic to the diapers or not like them. Has anybody registered and gotten a bunch of diapers they couldn’t end up using?

If you’re registering at one store, you’ll likely know where all the diapers came from and can exchange them if they don’t work for baby. You can also usually register for the amount you want, just put 1 and put a few different brands on your registry then you’ll have some to try out until you find the right ones for your babe. 
My husband had diaper parties with our first two and it was so nice because we got a bunch of different brands & sizes so we got to try out different things a long the way. Our daughter was able to wear anything, our son is a little more sensitive and can wear certain ones better than others.

Most any store will take them back and exchange my friend did that with her son and he was only able to use one brand and she returned lots of them to wal mart and didn’t know where they were bought from

I got a ton of diapers at my daughters shower. She ended up being sensitive to a certain kind and we weren’t able to use them but we still got so many that we could use! You can always donate the ones you don’t use or find a friend in need :)

I registered for diapers on Amazon so I can easily return them if they don’t work. Great thing about Amazon is you can get gift cards, load them to your account and have them pay for your diaper delivery service. I will be signing up for a weekly delivery of diapers so we don’t run out. You get a discount for signing up for a weekly delivery and can change the size/frequency/amount anytime you need. So asking for gift cards for the place your register would be my suggestion. :)

Pampers have been the only brand that has worked for all 5 of my kids. And I have tried them all. BUT I do not buy a ton before baby is here. Instead I put the money in a fund or on a gift card specifically for baby.

I didn’t put diapers on the registry for my first. We did have a diaper party and raffled a prize. My son is almost 2 1/2, potty trained ,and we still have packs of diapers from that party.
