We got our results back today and we have 3 day 5 embryos and we will find out tomorrow if we have any that make it do 6. I was wondering if there is a difference between day 5 and 6 if you are doing a frozen cycle? Is day 5 better than 6? How many did you have reach blastocyst on day 6?

I am just stressing because I was honestly expecting more today and my doctor was too. I know I need to be grateful for the 3 we know we have and that we might have more tomorrow, but it is hard. We are getting our embryos genetically tested and I was hoping for a larger number because I know not all of the embryos will comeback good and so 3 feels like a low number to work with when my doctor said it would probably be closer to 7. It’s also really hard to watch that number drop each day you get a phone call. We started with 27 with 17 mature and 14 fertilized and those number drops weren’t much of a shock to me. Then on day 3 they said they were all still growing with 9 in the good range and 5 in the fair range and I was happy with those numbers too, but this day 5 result has been rough for me. I guess I am looking for some encouragement and hope.
