My bff’s husband

Told her that he doesn’t want to get a vasectomy because even though they’re done having kids he should “keep the door open for a potential future spouse” meaning if they get a divorce he wants to be able to have a child with his second wife if that’s what she wants. She said at first she was pissed but now doesn’t think it’s a big deal. I kept my mouth shut butttt what do y’all think?! If my husband said that to me I would feel like he doesn’t see us growing old together or having a future? Or like he plans on leaving...again, I didn’t say anything to her I listened and nodded because i didn’t want to pour gasoline on the fire (that was already put out last week anyway).
