Not sure if my birth control works :(

Hey guys

This is my first time on birth control. I Started nuva ring on the 6Th, waited 12 days then had unprotected sex. It said it only takes 7 days to be protected from pregnancy. I followed the directions carefully never took the ring out until this week as I was instructed to. Its been out for 3 days now today will be the fourth and I still didn't get my period. I'm so worried and stressed and depressed.
