What can I give my one year old baby boy with really hard poops?

I need something to help soften his stool. He’s having really painful and hard stools with slight bleeding. He’s not completely on solids just yet but we are exploring more so I think that’s what has caused it. Not currently on whole milk either, just formula. He just turned one.

Whenever my baby has hard poops I give her apples! I soften them by “steaming” them in the microwave. She poops a lot afterwards.

Boil and mash up some pears, the same as you’d do apple sauce. It will help really good 😉

I was told to give apple or prune juice for constipation or really hard poops and to stay away from bananas and things that can cause hard poops during that time.
