I’ll be honest, my experience with newborns can be summed up in 2 short stories.

1. My best friend had her youngest daughter 2 years ago and after holding her for a photo I asked “now what do I do with it? Shit! I called it an it. I did it again!” (It was meant to be a joking question but, I really had no idea what to do)

2. She let me bottle feed her once. (I did, however, know she was hungry without anyone telling me so, there’s that)

Both of these stories took place on the same day😂😂😂

But, now that we’re getting all my daughter’s things ready... im starting to realize there’s so much I don’t know.

I’ve never changed a diaper, I’ve never swaddled a baby, never burped a baby... I may have attempted to rock my best friend’s baby to sleep once but, obviously she wanted her momma.

I’m good when they get a bit older, but newborn? No experience. My MIL should be here to help, but if my little girl comes early and my MIL is not here, I’m going to be at a total loss.

Any advice for a FTM?
