When to introduce milk and what kind is best?

My son is 10 months and i was wondering when i could start introducing milk and what kind would be the best? Ive heard cows milk is bad for babies..?, and Ive also heard you can start weaning formula at 11 months and be completely off formula at 12 months. But im not sure what would be the best way of doing it?

My sons pediatrician said do not give milk until a year old and when you do it should be whole milk. Ask your pediatrician if you’re not sure. I have also offered my son almond milk (just to try) but he did not like it.

You don’t make the switch til a year old, we went to almond milk my son was lactose intolerant. We use the unsweetened almond milk per our pediatrician. He’s now almost 3 and is doing great

I started at 10 month but my son hates milk so at 10 month we stopped his formula and switched to breakfast essential i was hoping i could get him on milk but he still hates it and hes 1 now
