How much did you weight when you got pregnant?

Question

The one thing I hear from everyone is, “you’ll get pregnant when you loose weight”. I’m not that big, so I would like to know, 
how much did you weigh when you got pregnant?
Did you loose weight before head?
Did it make TTC easier for you?

I think overall health makes a difference in ttc and pregnancy. Being active, having a healthy diet and taking care of your body does help. I don’t think it’s necessarily weight because slender people can be unhealthy as well. I’m 39 and pregnant with my first and although I’m “advanced maternal age”, i’m in better shape than most 20-somethings which I do think helped me to pregnant. Of course there’s also genetics but I do think you can help yourself by being healthier.

I weighed 185 when I conceived (I’m 5’4 so that’s considered obese by medical standards 🙄 dr was definitely giving me side eye the whole time) it was I think our 5th non consecutive cycle trying but we had been NTNP for a year (not a consecutive year, some of those months we did actively chart and try). I had taken my nexplanon out in April 2017 and April of 2018 I finally had a normal 27 day cycle. Then we got pregnant the next time I ovulated in May. And then went on to gain 30 more pounds and still have a perfectly healthy pregnancy. No GD, and my blood pressure was the best it’s ever been. Baby was 7lbs 7oz.

Just because one is overweight doesn’t mean they aren’t healthy. I started at 240 with a clean bill of health and conceived my first try, 4 months in and I’m actually losing weight. 
An average health couple can still take up to a year to conceive, regardless of weight. It all depends on health and if it’s truly your time.
