How to know when it’s real labor?

Hi guys! I’ve been getting frequent contractions (between 2-5 minutes apart), but they’re not totally terrible where I can’t breathe. With my first, I was induced, so I have no clue what to be looking for/expecting other than contractions 5 minutes apart for an hour or two? Any other ways of knowing besides water breaking? It’s so confusing lol. 
I’m close to 37 weeks. 🤰🏼

Contractions that are 3-5 minutes apart that you cant walk or talk through. Along with pressure felt inside near cervix. Contractions will start at top of stomach and move down or wrap around from your lower back to your pelvis. Bloody show and/or water breaking. Pressure on tailbone or feeling like baby is going to fall out when walking.

Have you called your doctor or l&d? A few days ago I was having contractions every 2-3 mins for 6 hours, but they were only lasting 45 seconds and I could still talk, l&d had told me not to come in until they were more intense and lasting longer. Later on that day (after they had stopped) I had my regular appointment and my doctor told me to go in if it happened again. She also said that walking around while it's going on will help change your cervix, so try to walk if you can!

Having the same issues. I feel like it’s me having a high pain tolerance along with not being dilated enough. I know they’re going to get bad but I’m only at a 3 with contractions and only need to close my eyes and breathe and I’m okay with them so far.
