I started the combined BC pill on the first day of my period as was instructed in the pamphlet. I saw my gyno a few days later and told her that’s what I did and she looked at me like I was crazy. That you’re only supposed to start BC pill on the Sunday after your period and that it takes 4 weeks to be effective...

I was on the pill for years but took a break, for a year. Always did the Sunday start but now worried about the 1st day start.

I’ve been having sex with condoms, every time but started the pill again for extra protection...
