What would you have done for pain relief for your first birth?

Not quite pregnant yet, but I’ve been obsessed with reading birth stories (as one does), and I’m curious what you would have chosen if you were to do the labor all over again.

I planned to get the epidural, got the epidural, slept through most of labor, and will 100% get an epidural again with this baby.

I’ve had 4 children, all without pain medication. It’s not as bad as you’d think. I don’t want my baby getting dosed with meds, and I’m afraid of epidurals.

I was so against the epidural, but I had my water broken and pitocin started at the same time and couldn't last more than 2 hours! Once I got it, I felt instant relief. And it was a blessing in disguise because I needed an emergency c-section. So knowing they didnt have to do that right before or knock me out was nice too!

My labour was 78 hours long with 20 in active labour. I was weak and burnt out at the end. I only got to epi with 11 hours left because it was recommended by my care provider to help me make it through. 
If I were to do it again I’d definitely get it early to preserve my energy. For me it wasn’t a pain issue at all. It was a muscle/uterus fatigue that was horrible and made for a difficult recover

EPIDURAL was a lifesaver lol. 
Was in so much pain with the contractions. Didn’t feel a thing after I had it. Was amazing 😜

Im getting an epidural because i have a heart conditon and the doctors dont want my heart to over work itself
