Cheap pregnancy test

I’m 13 days dpo and AF is due in two days. I’m itching to take a test. The ones I have at home say they detect pregnancy the day after the first missed period. If I take it tomorrow is it then a waste. Do I really have to wait 3 more days?

I’m determined not to go out and spend more money on a test that will probably turn out negative. 😩
