Should I wait to wash clothes?

Not sure if my baby is going to be too big for newborn clothes or not.. but i want to start getting his clothes washed 😬 what would you do? If he does not fit, i was hoping to return them but i can't say for sure if he will fit them or not until he's here..

Keep tags and only wash some.

All NB clothes I got were second hand so that I could wash them and not worry about cost if they ended up not fitting.

I wash all newborn and 0-3 right away

I washed everything. It took 2 days to get all of it washed, folded and put away. We have friends that are having a boy as well 4 months after us, so if anything doesn't fit or he grows too quickly, we will just give those to them. Or keep them for our next one!

Also most baby clothes shrink a lot when you wash them. So just wash as you go. I did NB and 0-3 months and kept the tags on everything else.

I only washed the outfits that I am using for the delivery and bring home, the rest is still up with tags, I was told too my baby is chunky and if in fact he is I can go in an exchange or resale

Most of my new born stuff is handed down so we washed it, but everything else is 0-3M and I ripped tags off and washed them. I’d much rather be prepared for her to come and have her dresser completely filled and ready to go than worry about washing her clothes later.

I only bought a couple sets of NB size because they grow out of it so fast, everything else was 0-3 month.
