Sippy cup??

Question

When are y’all going to start using sippy cups and what do you put in them? Formula/breast milk? Water? My son is 8 months and holds his own bottle, no teeth yet.

We mostly use an open cup, though sometimes a sippy. We started at six months. He just has water in it.

This is the playtex we use. It doesn’t drip which I love because he likes bringing it in the living area.

We use a weighted straw cup made from the Muchkin brand for water.

My daughter is 9 months and her doctor said to put in her sippy cup whatever :milk,juice, water.  The only problem with those cups is she has 8 teeth already and all she does is bites it that’s all.

It’s recommended to introduce a soppy cup at 6 months when they start foods..that’s when we started using one with our baby at meal times. We put breastmilk or water in it. He still needs assistance tipping it back for a drink

We started at 4 months with milk. And now she just drinks water out of a supply.  She drinks milk from a bottle still because my MIL watches her and wants to give her a bottle.

We use the weighted straw cup and he does really well with it. Usually I’ll put a tiny bit of juice in it but we’ve done milk too.

I introduced a sippy cup at six months with water and now we use primarily sippy cups for formula. We are down to using a bottle in the morning and night only. Everything else, water, formula, juice goes into a sippy. I’m hoping to be done with bottles pretty soon.
