What symptoms have you experienced on birth control?

I’m starting the pill today, and I’m a little nervous about some of the symptoms.

Everybody is different!! Some people will go on it and see basically no difference, but some will react very badly. My sister absolutely loved it, made her periods lighter, didn’t gain weight etc. But it made me very depressed and anxious and I gained a lot of weight (it doesn’t directly cause weight gain but it can increase your appetite causing you to eat more) and it made my period very heavy and clotty 
It’s best just to go on it and see how you get on. If you have any issues go straight back to your doctor.

The main thing for me at the start was spotty skin and headaches.

I just noticed I am more hungry and a little more emotional, but nothing I can’t handle.
