Calling in sick - when to tell work?

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and experiencing morning sickness lasting alllll day 😪 I will be phoning in sick tomorrow but do I tell them now I’m pregnant?

You're not obligated to until you're ready. I told my work already because my boss knew we were doing ivf anyway and people were starting to wonder why ive been sick so often. I told them at 8 weeks 2 days. I figure why not just celebrate! I'm close enough and open enough with my coworkers that if something were to happen I could tell them and have their support.

I told my boss immediately every time i found out. I would say it depends on your activity levels for work. I worked as a cashier and had physical restrictions from my dr quite early with my 2nd pregnancy because my 1st ended in a miscarriage. My boss and managers had to be able to let me leave the register if i needed to so it just made sense to tell them so early
