My husband and I are considering taking our baby to a big family get together the last weekend in June. We have some family members we are close with moving to Texas. Our little one will be almost 2 months old the first week of July and will not have her shots yet. We live about 6 hours drive from where we would be going for the weekend. That’s not including stops for baby breaks, feedings and diaper changes. We estimated that we’ll probably be on the road for a total of 8-9 hours with all the stops and traffic. (We’re headed to Los Angeles so traffic WILL happen). Any advice on this? What should we bring? How often is realistic to need to stop? Is this even doable and worth the headache? I’m open to hearing it all. I’m not big on going but we have a lot of family that have not met our little one and this will be their last chance for a long time.
