Starving cat?!!!??!?!!?

My cats been missing for two and a half weeks and we just found her! She is so skinny! How do we help her? She ate a lot at first and now she’s hardly eating. How can we save her? I know she needs to go to the vet but they said they can’t get her in til Wednesday. What can I do till then to help her? Please help

She needs small portions several times a day of a high quality and high fat food. Feeding large portions at once can shock the system.

Science Best brand wet food with protein. As everyone else said - a little at a time. And try to get her to drink As much as you can!

DO NOT FEED TONS OF FOOD.  There is a syndrome called refeeding syndrome. This is when a pet is deprived of food for some time and someone just feeds it a lot to help it gain weight... ...this can actually shut down their kidneys and liver, causing multi organ failure suddenly. Take to your vet and come up with a plan. Probably needs to be dewormed as well as pets pick up parasites very quickly that can cause them to lose weight and can be passed to humans.

High protein food, I'd say a cup and a half daily judging off her size. Incorporate a can of wet cat food as well, avoid the cheap stuff since she will ultimately poop it out faster...
Also, because shes like this, I HIGHLY recommend getting pedialyte (regular kids, unflavoured is all you need) and keeping her water dish full of it. She will need those electrolytes back.
Another thing you can opt for is mixing her food with baby food, just make sure there are no seasonings in the ingredients list as those will make her sick.
