Double ear infection...

Hey Mamas,

So my daughter is 4 months old and had her second round of shots on Friday. She spiked a fever that night that was a little higher than what is normal after shots (102.5°) so I called in to see if I should bring her in. Long story short, I couldn't get her fever to come down no matter what I did all weekend, so I called in every day this weekend, only to be told that it was normal and to call back the next day if the fever was still there. Well I had a gut feeling that something was off so I was planning on taking her in today anyway. Then she woke up at 2:30 this morning screaming like she was in pain and her fever was 102.7°. Even after giving her Tylenol and a small bottle, I didn't get her to calm down until after 4. I called them as soon as they opened and demanded that she be seen today.

As it turns out, there is definitely something to be said for a mother's intuition. My poor sweet girl has a double ear infection. 😭 That paired with the fact that she is teething makes for one seriously miserable baby. I started her on antibiotics today, but can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for them to start feeling better? We're really struggling to get through this after the past few days we've had and I just want to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
