How soon did you get pregnant after birth??

I had my first child a month ago and will soon be cleared by doctor. I will not be taking BC so I am wondering how soon some of you ladies got pregnant after giving birth??? As I hear you are very fertile after.

I'm sure you know, but it's recommended to wait 1 year after having a baby to get pregnant again.

We have never taken birth control just use natural family planning. I also nursed which it is said makes you not ovulate but I don’t think that is completely true since I have heard of women getting pregnant while nursing. I just paid attention to my body and we didn’t get pregnant until our 1st was one and then after our second we were pregnant again when she was 11 months old.
