anyone else have trouble remembering key details?

Does anyone else have trouble remembering key details concerning their sexual assault?

I was assaulted by an ex 3 years ago. I know it occurred between the months of March - May, and that it was early Sunday morning, but I only know that because of the surrounding circumstances. (E.g., Sunday was the only day of the week that our schedules allowed us to avoid one another for 48 hours straight while living in the same house...which is what happened after it occurred). It bothers me to no end that I can’t place the month or day it happened. Or, that a detail like how many fingers he used evades me.

All I can really recall is the before, the after, some choice details in between, and a whole lot of internal dialogue and mental processing that occurred during the event.

This kind of ...glitchy memory during trauma is normal, right?
