Did anyone else go into labor without feeling many of the contractions? I’m starting to think maybe I’m just not feeling them?? I’m 38 weeks, 4cm, 80% effaced, heads at -1. Every few hours I’ll feel period like cramps or my lower back will be sore but that’s it. I’ll wake up in middle of night once or twice because of it but overall nothing consistent. I don’t understand how I can be so far dilated/effaced without feeling the contractions. Doctor won’t admit me unless water breaks or contractions are 5 min apart for an hour, but at this rate I’m afraid I’ll never know how to time them bc I can’t feel all of them. And yes I know labor contractions get way more strong, but the ones I do feel are way different then the BH I had for the past month. I’m so confused. I would just show up to L&D to be checked but it’s $150 co-pay from insurance if they don’t admit you. Already done that once 😩 First time mom here. Help!
