13m old gagging himself

I need help at first when he started gagging himself I thought it was exploration. Buy he has been doing it for 2 months every day and it’s gotten to the point where he actually makes himself vomit up his food. Any tips on how to stop him? I take his hands out of his mouth the second he puts them in and I tell him no but that obviously isn’t working
