PCOS?

Question

What caused you to seek out a diagnosis of PCOS?
I've never been told I could possibly have it, but I had been on birth control for nearly 11 years. So if I had irregular cycles I never knew it. Since getting off birth control my cycles have gone crazy. I had 3 completely regular cycles and the past 2 are just so crazy. I am now on CD 44 with no period in sight. 
Other than irregular cycles I am overweight, have super annoying facial hair around my chin, and oily facial skin.

I should have been diagnosed when I was in 6th grade.. I went to the doctors for horrible cramping (turned out to by cysts on my ovaries) , super irregular periods but when I would get a period I was horrendous bleeding, and passing out from pain.. being that young they didn’t check for anything just put me on the depo shot and stopped my period completely.. was on the shot til 10th grade (2009/2010).. never had a period until 2016 when starting TTC my son, and that’s when I went to a specialist who diagnosed me and said I should have been told this a long time ago.

I fell pregnant April and September of 2013. If I can fall twice I can fall again, right? Well I waited a year without getting pregnant and went to the doctors because I knew something wasn’t right and they booked me in for an ultrasound to see what was going on. 
She sent the images back to my doctor who told me I had pcos quite bad and only had a 1% chance of having a baby.
If you have it you’re unlucky but that doesn’t mean you won’t ever have a baby. Don’t lose hope. We waited patiently for 5 years and finally got our rainbow baby!
She’s now 6 and a half months 😍❤️

I was only diagnosed finally when I started TTC and had a vaginal ultrasound. But once I read up on it I wasn’t surprised. Super irregular periods and such but my first obgyn I went to at 13 about it was like here just take these pills and did away with me.

I knew after I came off birth control. I stoped taking my birth control in June of 2017, and didn’t have another period. In February 2018, I finally went to my ob and was diagnosed

I was told I may have pcos after an ultrasound but who knows. I’m not over weight, labs look normal, no acne, no hair loss —- I guess they saw the string of pearl ovaries—-but not 10 like it says you need to have to be considered to have pcos. It’s confusing. Going next month to see if I have endometriosis since I have heavy periods.

Knew I had it way before I got an official diagnosis. But Im overweight(since my teens) two dark. Hair on my chin, super irregular periods.

I had heard about it but never in a million years think I had it. Until we started TTC, then I was like what!? How did i not know or think i had this!? I'm seriously the poster child for PCOS, over weight, insulin resistance, skin tags, hair loss, facial hair, irregular periods, ovarian cysts, list goes on and on. After I was officially diagnosed with PCOS I was just given metformin and was told to lose weight.
