Every day cause hair loss?  What if it's just a looser type of pony tail or low pony tail to just hold hair back.

But I’d think a loose one would be okay.

My hairdresser always says to me to avoid daily ponytails or tight hairstyles. Not only there’s more hair loss, but also there are more chances to have more split ends as hair has more chances to break due to pressure.

Yes I have several friends active duty military who have traction alopecia after years and years of putting their hair in buns. You can lessen the risk by not putting it up very tight, and never while hair is wet.

It’s more likely to cause breakage, not hair loss. You’ll see more of the hair shedding if it’s been up, rather than loose and shedding/falling as the day goes on. 
But the ponytail holders can cause breakage, just like Bobby pins, clips, etc.

No hair loss, but possibly breakage if the ponytail is tight. If it’s looser, or in a braid, then there should be less breakage.

I’ve worn my hair up in a bun or pony tail for the 8 years I’ve been at my job and haven’t experienced any hair loss.
