Baby girl is finally here!!!

Sorry this is a bit long... Wasn’t planning on writing my story but the. Decided to after all. Especially since I’ve enjoyed reading these the last few months myself.
On Monday morning I had my 40 week dr visit. She did a stretch and sweep but let me schedule my elective induction for the following morning. I wanted to because our first was born at 39 weeks and got stuck and had to have a vacuum assist and didn’t want to repeat that if this one was just as big or bigger. I was at a 4.5/5 and 100% already and she was surprised we hadn’t already had baby girl. Left the office and had lunch with my husband and daughter, and then took my daughter home for a nap while hubs went back to work. I laid down to relax a bit, and at about 2 I noticed some light contractions. I figure there were just stronger Braxton Hicks since I’d been having them off and on since the week prior. By 230 they were a bit more painful so I stayed timing them. They started at 9 mins a part and quickly jumped to 5. Hubs was off at 3/315 so I told him we’d reassess when he got home. He called on his way home and at that point I was sure this was it, was averaging 3 mins apart. My mom came and picked up our daughter and we headed in to the hospital.
Once there found out that did seem like labor, but baby was not engaged, so they didn’t want me to walk around just in case it broke my water, it could turn into an emergency with her being so high up and “floating”. We got admitted and situated in our delivery room. Once the iv and blood work and answering a million questions were done, contractions were really starting to become unbearably painful. My doula was on her way but I couldn’t hold out and got the epidural. We sat and chatting and hung out until the craziness started.
About 8/830 the midwife came in to check, at a 6, but baby girl was now transverse (she was head down at 1130 am at my dr appt). She gets the dr, and thank god he got her to flip into position, they then broke my water, but a binder on to keep her in place and started pitocin. Pretty sure the binder screwed with my epidural because by the time it was ready to push, I could feel everything. At 11 pm my body started to push while the nurses set everything up. By 11:19 baby girl was out and perfect. It was so rough being able to feel it all, hello ring of fire! Thankfully I didn’t have to push for very long.
