Soonest you can go home?

Okay so this might be a dumb question but whats the soonest after having baby your able to go home? Ive always had to stay 2 to 4 days. I go in next friday to be induced and i would really lke to come home saturday as i cant sleep at hospitals and im going to worry about my 2 yr old. So anyone ever gone home that soon?

One of my best friends just had her baby but she ended up going to a birthing center and was able to go home 4 hours after giving birth. I am having a csection next Thursday the 13th and have to stay for 3 days which is fine since I want to make sure my incision is doing good but definitely ask and see if you can head home same day and congratulations mama we are almost there ❤

I think at my hospital it’s a minimum of 24 hours

It depends on when you have the baby and how you have the baby. Just because you’re getting induced Friday doesn’t mean baby will come Friday. I was induced at midnight on a Saturday. Baby didn’t come until 2am in the following Tuesday and it ended up as an emergency csection. We didn’t get to leave until Friday. So I was there for 6 days.

I've been told you can be sent home the day you deliver as long as everything is good with you and baby. Just let the doctor know you wanna go home asap I'm sure they will get you home

My midwives have said as little as 4 hours but likely within 24 hours of delivery, depending on how baby and I are doing. We also get home visits (2-3 but more if needed) in the first 2 weeks and then we return to the midwife clinic at 2,4 and 6 weeks so we are fairly closely monitored once at home and my midwives are on call 24/7

Well depends on your birth and if you and baby are healthy. I had a healthy pregnancy but for some reason during delivery my blood pressure got too high and he had a bit of jaundice so we didnt go home right away. Stayed in the hospital three days. I’ve heard moms go home within a day if both are healthy

My mom had my youngest sister and both were perfectly healthy and they let them go home before the 24 hours, but my mom had to be pretty insistent about it.
