Should I get tested

So my boyfriend and I recently broke up and I got with someone else. I’ve had recurring bv for what seems like the past 5 months and I’ve been tested and treated. Well my boyfriend and I got back together and after having sex my symptoms for bv came back but this Time there were some bumps and he has a bump on his lip...should I be worried?? Or is it just bv again?
