Bio flex earrings?

Question

I have a cartilage piercing that’s about a dozen years old and am looking for a new, comfortable earring. 
I’ve stumbled across this bioflex material and it looks comfy but I can’t find if it’s safe or not. Everywhere I look has differing opinions. What are the Facts about this material??

I've seen different things as well but what I'm seeing a lot of is that it's a porous material and isn't suited for long term wear as it begins to break down - it's good for being worn as a retainer if you have an x-ray or something and can't wear metal. I also don't think it has been approved as an implant grade plastic. 
Better safe than sorry: stick to implant grade metals!
