I’m in a heterosexual relationship but have always wanted to try sex with a female. I’m not a lesbian it’s just something I’ve always wanted to try and I know my husband would not approve of it,

Doesn't matter whether you're having sex with someone of the same sex or opposite - it's definitely still cheating. You are giving a part of yourself, emotionally, physically and mentally to someone else.

Any kind of sexual contact or even kissing is cheating. If he wouldn’t approve of it, don’t do it simple as that. The way I see it is, you’re already cheating on your husband if you’re even talking to someone or if you have intentions to sleep with someone other than your husband, it’s cheating.

If you talk about it with your partner and they’re okay with it, no it’s not cheating. If they don’t know, or they haven’t okayed it, yes. People like to just throw the word “cheating” around but I personally think it only refers to a betrayal of the boundaries you have set in your own relationship. You need to talk to your partner and establish those boundaries, nobody can decide for the two of you what’s appropriate for your relationship.
