My mother in law has a dog that she cuddles and it licks her face. I think the licking is nasty. My husband allows the dog to lick his face and sometimes it touches his lips, I find it disgusting. Now this lady allows the licking of the dog on her skin and rubs down the dog and then wants to touch my 2 week old baby. It’s cringing, I would freak if he got a rash on his face from her not washing her hands before touching my baby. I want to ask her to wash her hands before touching my baby, but I don’t want to offend her. I’ll probably tell her the next time. Am I irrational? I had dogs growing up but I was always advise that you should wash your hands after touching a dog.
