What did you do for your child’s first birthday?

One theme was One Happy Camper so we had a cook out and just hung out. We ended up having two parties - one at our house and one at my in-laws - because we have large immediate families and didn’t feel confident trusting the weather for people to be outside. Good thing because the one at our house had cold, rainy weather! By the time we got to planning, all of the rentable places were booked for graduation parties. I wouldn’t recommend two parties though if you don’t have to.

All my kids had a first birthday photo shoot. Then we just did close friends and family had cake and ice cream and went to Chuck E. Cheese

We rented my mom’s apartments clubhouse and had a party with both sides of our families. Her birthday is in December so we had a “winter one-derland” theme.

We had a little party with close family about 15-20 people. We had a nice cook out and what not. We do it every year now nothing large just some family and my best friend and her kids.

We are planning on taking her to Disneyland but then again we live in California so it’s easier. I’m just not into the whole birthday party thing right now, we don’t have many friends with babies even though my husband is 33 and I’m 26 🤷🏻‍♀️
