I'm pretty sure I have overactive let down. My son is a week old and the last day or so while breastfeeding, he will suddenly pull off and start to cough. Then like clock work about a minute or so later he spits up a decent amount. When he pulls off my breast continues to leak.

This is only happening with one breast, and my other breast is starting to get tired 😞 he doesnt act colicky, instead he will go into a milk coma after eating and he wont wake up for almost anything unless its changing him.

Today he has been incredibly hungry, and giving me cues almost every hour or hour and a half. I'm starting to worry he isn't able to keep down what he is taking from the bad breast and he isnt getting the nutrients since he spits it up and I have no idea how much he is actually eating off that breast. 😞

I dont know how to fix this problem, because I dont have any signs im about to have a let down or having one besides the spray and continuous dripping. Sometimes I get the sleepy feeling and apparently that's a sign of let down, but by the time that hits he has already choked. 😞
